Payment holiday
Depending on the merchant and the deal available you may not be charged any interest on the cost of your purchase for at least 12 months. In some cases, you may also have a payment holiday which means you won’t need to make any payments either. However, after the promotional period finishes, interest will begin being charged at the published rate (currently 28.50% p.a.), and if you have also been enjoying a payment holiday,  you will need to begin making payments as well or else you will incur late payment fees and your credit record may be affected.
Rates and charges
These deals do require you to meet our lending criteria to use them so we can ensure that you are only purchasing what you can afford to. There is an establishment fee of $55 that will apply to your first long-term finance purchase, but after that the fee is $35 for any subsequent long-term finance purchases you may make with us. Keep track
You can keep track of your balances, available credit, how long your long-term finance period has left and make payments easily using the Q Mastercard App, or by logging into My Account online. It is also important to think about what other spending you are doing on your Q Card and Q Mastercard during this time as these long-term finance deals only apply to the specific purchase they are used for, not all the purchases made with your card.
